Okay. important update. so Holland is really sucky right now. so we are moving
we think we will spend summer on Panama City Beach (GREAT beach in florida). Then move up to New York until all our lives are stable (my mum, brother and I)
Thinking we will get some cats, grow some veggies and Im gonna get me a van. Take a break from crap, and have a nice beach summer :D |

Alrighty. Havent posted in a while.
Lets see.
I went back to Utrecht the day after I got here, went to the Dom, beautiful place. Check out some photos if you want

The other day I went to Muiden Castle. It was started in 1280, but has plans dating back to the 900s I think

That night we went to Amsterdam, Mum and I went to Reguliersdwaarstraat (Amsterdams gay street), and had a few drinks outside a cool bar. Then we went to Rembrandtplein, had coffee, and watched the buzzing city go by
Also, if anyone is interested, this is the uni I want to apply for in Utrecht. It ALL in english, and the courses look awesome... that and its possible to do a double bachelor degree in 3 years :|

Well, after many uncomfortable hours on a plane, Im finally here. I got in at 11 AM the 28th.
Met mum at the airport and went to her house to drop everything off, then went for a walk around Hilversum, a nice little town, cobblestone roads everywhere and old dutch buildings. We went for a sausage from Hema (best form of meat ever!) with mustard, then a coffee. After that we went to Utrecht for a walk around, got lost, and after finally finding our way back to the central city area, had some REALLY nice beer and biterbolen (typo?)... a type of processed meat, and then bits of cheese and other things. Finger foods really. We got back on the train to Hilversum, and ended up talking for so long we missed our stop and went into amsterdam on accident. Surprised at how much dutch I remember, and how easy some words are to figure out. That and everyone knows english. Went back home to mett Luc for dinner, really nice pasta, and sat back to type up this email.
One of mums work friends has offered to take me out with friends for drinks to see the dutch nightlife. Might just take him up on that offer. then in friday Ill be staying in a hostel in Utrecht... Im having a great time already, and its been so awesome seeing mum again, we have been talking almost non stop since I got in. its nice and cozy warm here, and at ten to 10 the sun is only just starting to set. Got a nice view of a huge black church steeple to some saint or another.

Alright, so my passport expired in december last year, and I was all set to go and renew it around november, but I was homeless at the time. So I asked if they could hold onto it for me, they said they would send an email out when it was ready to get picked up. Never got an email, and as the months went past, I forgot compleately about it. until I had to get ready to leave aus that is... So I went to the American Consulate to pick it up the other day. After a long wait I finally went up and told the lady my story and gave her my ID to let her know it was really me... She read it and screamed "OH MY GOD! Ill be RIGHT back!". Then she ran off to a few of the people in the back and just pointed the ID at them... they squinted, then finally broke into laughter when they read the name... She came back and told me they had NEVER seen a passport sit there so long uncollected. Apparentally I had a little bit of office fame without even knowing it |

Went to my storage box today. Apparentally the fees were late, and they tried to contact us, but we never heard from them. so they closed my box, and sold or threw out everything. furniture. Childhood toys, photos. everything except a box of legal files. and I most likely can never get any of it back

I miss summer... I always seem to follow winter around. its not fair! Im moving to Holland at the very end of their summer, then Im gonna have a full blown european winter, and come back in time for the end of the australian summer! its not fair I tells ya!
Oh well... For some reason last night I was rather content to live the poor life. I ate a can of asparagus, and plain white rice, and it was oddly good... lol

the 27th should be the day I leave. Mum said to get a ticket to Paris, and we will meet there, then go to holland after a few days of relaxation :D

Anyone want a bunny? Landlord wont let us keep her now he found out. That and Im moving to holland so I really need to find her a new owner
She is cute, big and white with brown spots, easy to take care of. Most of all, FREE!
Yep, thats right ladies and cuttlefish, a free rabbit! Ill even throw in the hutch, and a starter pack with hay AND food! What a deal!
She needs a good home, so if you can handle it, let me know |
